Yes the airport is a really dear place to park and get too. $80 in a taxi to the CBD last week. Cityhop have a minimum time period to cover the costs of getting cars back from the airport as well as to cover the cost of parking. The idea of having a park at the airport - well yes, we have tried approaching the airport company and Air NZ. All these places claim to have a sustainability programme and what could be more sustainable than encouraging people to drive less and car share? Airport option is to try and help cityhop members but it does have restrictions because the cars aren't used often enough and we would end up with flat batteries.
